Whitney Brooks, LMHC

Do you worry about your child? Are you frustrated with people in your life? Do you wish you could be your best self?

With over ten years of clinical experience, my style is fluid and catered to best suit the concerns and experience of my clients. I offer a strength-based approach and incorporate CBT, art/narrative therapy, brief/solution-focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, and play therapy depending on needs and preferences of each individual client.

While I enjoy working with clients of all ages, I specialize in working with children and adolescents. I have the expertise to connect with both child and parent alike. I help clients and families organize their problems into achievable goals and find comfort and curiosity for the journey ahead. Children and families respond to my hopeful and energized attitude.

I have experience with clients aged 3-93 in the context of individual, couples, and family therapy, and have worked on inpatient units, therapeutic schools, and community outpatient settings. I have worked with a myriad of clinical disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar, trauma, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, intellectual disabilities and learning disorders, gender dysphoria, and more. Additionally, I have experience working with clients regarding low self-esteem, loss, divorce, chronic pain, parenting issues, academic underachievement, anger or simply feeling stuck or lost.

I am currently accepting new clients.
